The Friends Of The Montezuma Wetlands Complex is pleased to announce that we were the recipients of a $19,500 grant from the Emil Muller Foundation! This grant will be used to help cover the cost associated with constructing an observation tower (much like the one at Guys Marsh) on the planned Wildlife Drive on DEC property in the Northern Complex. The Wildlife Drive will run from Morgan Road to the Deep Muck area and the new tower will be located along this route, overlooking the Morgan Road impoundments and the Carncross area. Construction is anticipated to take place in 2023 and the tower, once completed, will be immediately available for use by the public.
