The Seneca Trail is now completely open due to an apparent nest failure at the eagle nest.
The Tschache Pool great blue heron colony is VERY active. Chicks can be seen in the nests.
Black terns have returned and can be seen in many of our units. There usually is a large number at Tschache Pool.
The pair of sandhill cranes have been very active with the colts throughout the VC Wetland.
There is also a second pair of cranes with 2 colts in the area of Seneca Flats. They are about 2 weeks younger than the VC colts.
