Our Annual Membership Meeting is next Saturday, October 22nd. Allyn Paul is a new candidate to join the Friend of Montezuma board.
“I spent the last 30 years of my career as a corporate accountant. I worked for Intertek Testing Services, Time Warner Cable and Coyne Textiles. My responsibilities included all phases of general ledger accounting, monthly and yearly closing of the books, fixed assets and supervision.
When I retired five years ago I started volunteering at the refuge with the MARSH. I still volunteer with the MARSH and hope to continue for a long time. I very much enjoy supporting the Montezuma wetlands with whatever activity they need assistance with.
I also volunteer on other projects at the refuge and the wetlands such as spring bird counts, turtle surveys and for the second year I am fostering tree seedlings for the DEC. This past spring I started volunteering at the visitor center desk and store at the refuge.
