I haven’t been able to keep up with regular posts lately, sorry. Some highlights: large, dark brown eaglet can be seen in nest East of Benning, sandhill cranes still have 2 colts in the Seneca Flats/Larue’s Lagoon areas, young great blue herons can be seen in some nests at Tschache Pool, a few ruddy ducks in the Main Pool (sometimes quite close to the Wildlife Drive), 2 common terns in Tschache Pool, and Wednesday, May 15, glossy ibis were seen at the Visitors’ Center Wetland.
