Yesterday was sunny, breezy and cold.  It was wonderful to see so many birds in the Visitors’ Center Wetland. We found oodles of Canada geese, a few ducks, a northern harrier and some sandhill cranes. Also, most of the Canada geese and swans in the Main Pool could be seen from the upper observation deck of the Visitors’ Center. And if an eagle flew over the Main Pool, you could see oodles of ducks up in the air!! Eventually, we did survey from the Wildlife Drive but we had to keep an eye out for Nick, who was grading the surface.  He’s been working to get it in tip-top shape for us!! Thanks, Nick!!

Hopefully, you can get out soon to explore and experience all the amazing things in the Montezuma Wetlands Complex. This is my last write up for 2023.  Thank you for your kind words and support!! I wish you all a very happy, healthy and fun-filled holiday season and new year.

ENJOY, be respectful and safe.
