PROGRAMS AT MONTEZUMA

Outdoor Photography Workshop, Sunday July 27, 2:00 pm, Montezuma Audubon Center
Want some tips to better your nature photography? Join Dave Spier, "The Northeast Naturalist" for a hands-on educational workshop. Bring your digital camera. If the weather is bad, the workshop will still be held indoors. Most of Dave’s life can be summarized as nature, photography and education. An outdoor writer and professional stock photographer, Dave’s work has covered topics ranging from botany and zoology to geology and travel. His photographs have appeared in magazines such as The Conservationist and have been used by calendar publishers, ad agencies, and non-profit organizations. He has led birding hikes, family nature walks, and nature photography hikes at the annual Allegany Nature Pilgrimage, and for many years was the part-time naturalist at Bayberry Environmental Education Center in Seneca County, New York. For the past few years, he has been a volunteer with the Montezuma Audubon Center.

Bird of the Month Series
The Bird-of-the-Month programs are a series of Sunday afternoon lectures hosted by the Montezuma Audubon Center and the Montezuma National Wildlife Refuge. Each program highlights a resident or migratory bird or group of birds found in the Montezuma Wetlands Complex. Programs run from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. The series is co-sponsored by the Friends of the Montezuma Wetlands Complex. Free to members of the Friends of the Montezuma Wetlands Complex; $5 for adult non-members; $3 for students and seniors. Your fee will help fund future programs! Visit our Bird of the Month page for a full listing of programs.
