Join us at the Montezuma National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center, 3395 US Route 20 East, Seneca Falls, NY— Saturday, May 25, at 2:00 p.m.—for our Nature of Montezuma Lecture Series. Avid birders—and members of the Eaton Birding Society and Friends of the Montezuma Wetlands Complex (FOTMWC)—Mark Miller, Linda Benedict, and Steve Benedict will share their birding experiences on Texas' National Wildlife Refuges and share their photos, insights, and stories from their most recent birding trip. Their photos, stories and insights from their most recent birding trip will reveal hundreds of birds you have yet to see in their natural southern environment—like parrots— and some you may recognize as migratory that make Montezuma NWR home during the spring and summer—like the Osprey.

Linda and Steve Benedict are devoted members of the FOTMWC and the Eaton Birding Society. Linda and Steve have been birders for 10 years since they joined the Eaton Bird Society. They retired 2 years ago and became active volunteers for the Friends of the Montezuma Wetland Complex. They are regulars at MARSH! work days and served on last year's Muckrace Committee. Steve is a board member, treasurer, and volunteers for the refuges' Dry Marsh project. Linda volunteers in the Refuge visitor center. Steve and Linda can be found volunteering at the Refuge an average of two days a week.

Mark Miller is passionate birder and photographer; he is a member of the FOTMWC and Eaton Birding Society for several years. Some of his photograph products (postcards and magnets) can be purchased at the Visitor Center Nature Store. Mark is a FOTMWC board member and serves as the FOTMWC's photographer for special events. Mark also volunteers at the visitor center's information desk.

Nature of Montezuma programs run from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. The series is co-sponsored by the Friends of the Montezuma Wetlands Complex.
