MONTEZUMA AUDUBON CENTER

The Montezuma Audubon Center is a cooperative effort by Audubon New York, the NYSDEC, the FWS and the FOTMWC.

MAC

The Montezuma Audubon Center (MAC) is about one mile north of Savannah. Click here for a map showing the location of the MAC. The Center is sited immediately adjacent to two reclaimed marshes, open meadows, upland forest, seasonally flooded forest and a natural lake. The location makes possible education programs in a variety of habitats all within a short walk from the center building.

The MAC is Audubon New York's first education facility in central New York, an important part of the network of Audubon Centers, and a new resource for educating residents and tourists about one of New York's greatest wildlife resources.

Macro Photography Workshop, Sunday August 17, 2:00 pm
Cheri Sassman's work emphasizes the opportunities for observing nature close to home in urban settings, suburban areas and the countryside. The workshop will explore close-up and macro nature photography using the unique advantages of the digital camera. Participants will be invited to try out the workshop principles in the field after the workshop. They should be familiar with the digital camera they bring and should also have the camera manual. Everyone is encouraged to bring a tripod. Light rain will not necessarily keep us indoors -- bring plastic bags and a protective camera bag.
Space is limited so please sign up ahead of time: 315-365-3588.
Fee: Free for FOTMWC Members. $5 for non-members.
